People who put on a lot of annual miles will love the emphasis on improving fuel economy on these cars. Fewer models are offering V6 engines, opting for turbocharged four-cylinder engines as their performance option. Hybrid electric-gas drivelines are also growing in popularity, which provide a additional savings at the pump, while proving the right comfort for the family. Families will also love the growing list of standard equipment, including active safety features and improving infotainment systems to engage everyone on board.

CHEVROLET MALIBU: Though it started off a bit slow, changes for the 2014 model years were addressed for the Malibu to be more competitive. Expect better rear seat room, along with both exterior and interior modifications. The three-engine lineup continues with a 2.5 liter ECOTEC four-cylinder, the eAssist four-cylinder and a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder.
