More than 125 restored classic cars, and 30 vintage boats graced the shoreline of Lake Minnetonka on Sunday in Excelsior, Minn. for the third annual 10,000 Lakes Concours d’Elegance event.

Concours-Event-2015-VolvoWarm sunshine and the sparkling blue lake made for a perfect setting for this event, with pristine cars and watercraft next to the pristine waters. Throughout the daylong event, about 3,500 people attended, according to event organizers.

The cars and their owners came from mostly the Midwest but included vehicles from all over the country, said J. Marie Fieger, who helped promote and coordinate the event. As president of Nemer Fieger, she and her advertising and marketing firm work on a number of automotive-related events throughout the year. She said she loves the 10,000 Lakes event “because it shows such rich history. You can view the whole story of the automobile’s history.”

The vehicles pictured here include a gorgeous 1970 Volvo 1800E owned by Steve Devitt, of Golden Valley, Minn., and a magnificent 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible, owned by Roger and Susan Norberg of Shorewood, Minn.

The event was sponsored, in part, by Jaguar and Land Rover of Minneapolis, with proceeds going to the ICA Food Shelf.
