COLOR IS A BEAUTIFUL EXTREMELY DARK PEARL BLUE. LOOKS BLACKThis was my personal daily driver. I bought a new vehicle, intending to give this to my active duty son as a trouble free replacement for his older family car. However, he got stationed in England for 3 years, so we have too many cars. The Sportwagen is a great form factor, super good in snow and on gas, sharp looking and fun to drive. I've had many Audis and GTIs, etc. and the 4motion makes for a sporty and safe vehicle. This is the same platform and running gear as the Audi A3.Comes with 1) all season tires, mounted on stock VW alloys, 2) Blizzak snows on Audi rims, and 3) a complete set of unmounted Blizzaks. We average around 35 mpg. It has almost the interior capacity of an SUV but much more economical and fun to drive. Extended warranty bumper to bumper for another 2 years and 14k miles. It has been trouble free and is up to date on all maintenance and service. Night Blue Metallic / Deep Blue Pearl - almost black, beautiful pearl effect. I thought it was black for years. My designer /artist wife finally corrected me. It is a beautiful, very deep blue, with metallic accents. Must be seen.It was a VW executive vehicle I bought used with low miles, and has been in my family ever since. EconomyThe all-wheel-drive, automatic-equipped SportWagen that braved our highway fuel-economy testing outperformed its EPA ratings by delivering 33 mpg with its larger, more powerful four-cylinder engine. InteriorThe SportWagen's interior proportions are almost identical to those of the normal Golf. There's adequate legroom for four six-footers inside the SportWagen.The cloth seats in the S-trim SportWagen we tested were so comfortable and attractive that we wonder whether the faux-leather seating surfaces in other models are worth the cost.Increased cargo space compared with smaller Golf models is the SportWagen's raison d'tre. It's not quite as roomy as the Subaru Outback and isn't the best in the class for interior storage, but it offers more space than some crossover competitors and huge gains compared with the regular Golf.
